What We’re Looking For in Alarm Installation Technicians
Essential Technical Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in alarm system installation and maintenance
- Proficiency with hardwired and wireless alarm systems from major manufacturers
- Understanding of electrical systems, low-voltage wiring, and basic networking
- Experience with control panels, sensors, keypads, and communication devices
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety protocols

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Installation Excellence
Our alarm installation technicians are responsible for complete system installations from initial site assessment through final testing and customer training. This includes mounting control panels, installing sensors and detectors, running wiring, programming systems, and ensuring all components communicate properly with monitoring stations.
Customer Education & Support
Beyond technical installation, our technicians serve as security consultants, educating customers about their new systems and providing ongoing support. You’ll explain system operation, demonstrate features, and ensure customers feel confident using their new security equipment.
Quality Assurance & Documentation

Ongoing Maintenance & Service Calls
